Mothers Day 2024

Class 4 hosted a Ladies Tea Party to say ‘thank you’ to their Mums. It was great to see everyone together enjoying their tea and cakes.

National Space Centre

Class 4 enjoyed a trip to the National Space Centre in Leicester. We learnt so much and enjoyed looking at all the exhibitions. We even saw a real rocket that was used to take satellites to space!

Viking Day

Class 4 had the most jam-packed Viking adventure day! We learnt so much! We learnt all about Viking warriors, their beliefs, their funerals and the games that they played. We even acted out a few myths and real accounts (including the sacrifice of a slave) and had a go with the weaponry!

Residential Trips

Our Year 5 and 6 students have enjoyed many annual, residential trips in locations such as:

  • PGL Boreatton Park.
  • JCA Condover Hall Activity Centre.
  • Chasewater Outdoor Education Centre.
  • Shugborough Outdoor Education Centre.
  • Standon Bowers Outdoor Education Centre.

The trips are generally Monday to Friday and have included activities such as;

  • Aeroball
  • Archery and Orienteering
  • Survivor
  • Climbing and Raft Building
  • High Ropes
  • Low Ropes
  • Canoeing
  • Problem Solving
  • Quad Biking
  • Zip Wire
  • Tunnel Trail
  • Fencing and Rifle Shooting.

In addition, there is usually a timetable of evening activities such as:

  • Wacky Races
  • Capture the flag
  • Midnight walks and the ever-popular disco night.
