In Class 3 we are looking at States of Matter. Today we observed the change in state of some ice hands that melted. We checked the temperature every hour and recorded how much it has melted. There was still some ice at the end of the day! We are going to refreeze the water to show that it is reversible.
Year 3 and 4 had a wonderful day immersing themselves in learning about World War II. The children explored a range of fascinating artefacts, tried their hand at milking, and experienced what it was like to wear gas masks. They also enjoyed visiting a shop using ration books and looked fantastic dressed in period clothing, bringing the era to life. The day was a huge success, full of excitement and curiosity, and the children learned a great deal through these engaging, hands-on experiences.
Class 3 have been learning about plants in Science. We have grown beans and kept a plant diary, looked at different leaves on plants outside on a nature walk, learnt all the different parts of a flower and even dissected a daffodil. It has been very busy!
